81 Tactical Firearms Training is one of the most experienced firearms training providers in KY. Offering, Kentucky Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapons Classes in Marshall County for only $65.00, no extra fees such as, range fees, etc.

We also provide a Private, 1 on 1 Basic Handgun Shooting Class for $50.00. This class is intended for new shooters, or those who do not desire a Concealed Carry Permit, and simply want to learn how to safely handle, and accurately fire their handgun. You will walk away from this class with the confidence, & ability to be a responsible firearms owner. You will have the ability to fire your handgun accurately from a variety of distances, starting at the 5 yard line, and progressing back to the 15 yard line. Depending on the individual’s ability, as well as the ability of their handgun to fire accurately at distances farther than 15 yards, we may shoot from the 25 yard line as well. I utilize a variety of challenging, & fun targets, including the actual, B-21 silhouette target used in the KY. Concealed Carry Class. If you are taking this class to prepare for attending a Concealed Carry Class, we do offer a discounted price of, $100.00 for both, our Basic Shooting Class, as well as our Concealed Carry Class. “We do ask that you pay for both classes at the time of the Basic Shooting Class.” We will provide you with a receipt, showing that you have credit for our Concealed Carry Class.

We will customize this class based on the participants ability. So we welcome everyone from new gun owners, to veteran shooters who want to work on their shooting skills.

Following is a list of our instructors experience & training. He will utilize his experience & training in order to provide you with an excellent learning experience. He will take from real-life experiences involving the use of deadly force, and teach you how to prepare for defending yourself, or your family, not how to target shoot. These are two completely different disciplines, and we feel it is vital that you learn defensive style shooting, over target style shooting. Have the mental preparation to defend yourself. If you do not practice, and learn the proper way, you very well may become a victim. I want you to become a defender, and will prepare you to do so.

 BELOW IS JUST A SMALL PORTION OF THE TOPICS COVERED IN THE CONCEALED CARRY CLASS

Defensive Shooting – you will learn defensive shooting, which is completely different from target shooting. Over 95% of all self defense shootings happen, 5 yards & closer. I know from experience that you will not have a firm grip on your weapon. You will have a “Crush grip,” you will not likely use your sights, and don’t need to at distances of 5 yards and closer. I will teach you how to practice “Point Shooting.” You will walk away from our class with the proper tools required to defend yourself in accordance with KY. State Laws.

Other topics covered in the class include, but are not limited to:

Storage – We will discuss safe storage options, different safety devices such as trigger locks, gun safes, etc.

Firearms & Children – We will discuss different options and offer advice on how to store your firearms in a home with children to ensure their safety.

Proper shooting fundamentals – You will learn the proper fundamentals required to safely and accurately fire your handgun.

Different methods for carrying a firearm concealed - we will discuss the different types of holsters, and other accessories for carrying handguns concealed.

KY. Laws & Liabilities -  you will learn the laws as they apply to carrying a concealed weapon, when you can & cannot use deadly force, as well as the liabilities that come along with becoming a certified concealed carry permit holder.

Cleaning & maintaining your firearm – you will learn the proper cleaning methods and items needed to clean your weapon properly.

It is impossible for me to list all of the topics covered in this class. I assure you that whether you are new to shooting, or are a veteran shooter. At the end of the class, you will have the knowledge to be a safe firearms owner.

We welcome shooters of all skill levels, we will provide one on one instruction if needed to ensure that you learn the proper fundamentals to handle your weapon safely, and fire it accurately. We have successfully trained numerous men & women who had never fired a handgun prior to attending our CCDW class.

Our classroom is a very comfortable facility. We utilize a 50” flat screen T.V. to display information. As long as everyone follows directions, and listens to the range commands, you will enjoy a safe, relaxed, & non-intimidating range experience. We run a safe firing range, and try to keep it fun. However, horseplay, pranks, or any other unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.

Basic Handgun Shooting Class, By: 81 Tactical, Only $50.00 – This is a private class. The participant will learn how to safely handle their firearm. The proper fundamentals required to become an accurate shooter. Once you complete this class, you will have an excellent working knowledge of how and why your handgun works. This is a live fire class, meaning, this class takes place on the firing range. Depending on the participant, you will fire between 50 and 100 rounds of ammunition from varying distances. Starting at the 5 yard line, and progressing back to the 10, & 15 yard lines. Depending on the participants ability, as well as the ability of your handgun, we may shoot as far back as the 25 yard line. You will learn how to shoot using cover & concealment, without exposing yourself to the threat. We will discuss different carry options, so you can choose one that best fits your needs. Once you complete this class, as long as you practice & apply the techniques you will learn in this class, you will not have any problem passing anyone’s Concealed Carry class. If you wish to participate on our Concealed Carry Class after attending our Basic Handgun class, we will offer a discounted price of $100.00 for both classes.

DEFENSIVE TACTICS SHOOTING CLASS

DEFENSIVE TACTICS SHOOTING CLASS - $65.00, You will learn advanced shooting techniques such as, how to move to cover, and or concealment and engage several targets from behind cover, without exposing yourself to the threat. You will learn how to speed load your weapon in high pressure situations. You will learn how to utilize a flashlight while firing your handgun, etc. This is a shoot on the move type of class. It is intended for intermediate, to advanced shooters. We highly recommend that new shooters attend our Basic Handgun Class before attempting this class. This course will resemble real life defensive shooting situations. Once you complete this course, you will be better prepared to protect yourself and your family from threats of serious physical injury, or death. You will be able to better defend against threats, in accordance with Kentucky State Laws. Keep watching this site for class ads. We will post them as soon as we are up and running. We are working on the curriculum and shooting course at this time. I expect we will be up and running within a week or two. This will be a private class for you, or your group.

“In order to participate in this class, semi-automatic shooters need 2 or 3 magazines. Revolver shooters will need 1 or 2 speed loaders, a holster for your handgun, and would prefer that you have a holster for your magazines, or speed loaders. 100 rounds of ammunition, protective eye wear, hearing protection. We will provide you with more information, as well as a more detailed list of items needed for class. We hope to have this class running by the end of October. Feel free to contact us, to check on the status of the class, and put your name on the list to attend the class. This will be a private one on one class, or we will provide this class to private groups. This class fee will run around $70.00.
