This magnificant 3700 square feet of space available at Aurora Manor includes 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, living room, dining room, large eat-in kitchen and great room w/fireplace and another large conference room/game room (can accommodate up to 40 for dinner). Included is a Guest apartment which has one very large bedroom, living room with queen sleep sofa, dining area, and large fully equipped quaint kitchen with large stone fireplace. Aurora Manor can very comfortably sleep 10. Aurora Manor can accommodate your requirements from the one bedroom apartment sleeps 4, to the full occupancy of available space sleeping up to 10. Only steps across the terrace to the heated (in season) swimming pool and hot tub. All this situated on a 50 acre farm with a 3+ acre stocked lake for fishing. Hike around the farm or have a nice cup of tea in the gazebo. When you look to the north you will beckoned by call of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The view from aurora manor farm is fabulous. You may even feel like adventure is calling when you gaze at the Peaks of Otter Mountain. To answer this call it is only a 12 mile picturesque ride to the base where you can do the one hour hike to the top. Perhaps water sports is more your thing. If so, simply go 12 miles to the south where you will find Smith Mountain Lake with tremendous fishing, boating and lake swimming. Boats and jet skis are available for rent. Don't forget history... The land on which aurora manor farm is located has historical roots to the colonial farming days as evidenced by the two split log tobacco barns still remaining on the property. The internationally acclaimed D-day Memorial is only 4 miles away. Or perhaps the Civil War is more your cup of tea, then you should go 45 minutes to the east to Appomattox where our country was re-united. Lexington Virginia is a short drive to the north which is beaming with history. Aurora Manor and the city of Bedford is completely surrounded by tourism opportunities ranging from history to mountain hiking; from biking to lake swimming; from visiting quaint shops to large malls in nearby Roanoke and Lynchburg.

Bedford County was established by European Americans on December 13, 1753. The county is named for the fourth Duke of Bedford, who was a Secretary of State of Great Britain. Bedford was formerly named Liberty.
