Lovely, sunny cape on quiet country road. The three bedroom, sun-filled house is located on a beautiful acre surrounded by woods. In the summer, bright flowers attract butterflies and birds. The garden is professionally maintained, so you don't have to do anything but enjoy it! Read, nap and grill on the peaceful backyard patio.In the winter tall pines surround the property, birds flock to the feeder if you keep it filled, and the backyard becomes a fabulous sledding hill (sleds provided). Fully equipped kitchen opens up into sunny dining room. Twenty minutes to Tanglewood, Kripalu, Norman Rockwell, and theaters, museums, Jacob's Pillow. Antiquing everywhere! Nearby swimming, tennis, bike trails, hiking (Appalachian trail is two minutes from house).Five minutes to Butternut, fifteen minutes to other ski areas. Children are welcome. No Pets. No smoking.

We require a damage deposit, refundable within two weeks of the last day of your rental as long as there has been no smoking, no pets and no other major damage. We do not charge for normal wear and tear on the house. In eighteen years of rentals, we have never had to keep any portion of the damage deposit.

This great home is located in the heart of the Southern Berkshires. In the summer, grill outside, enjoy local beaches and forests, bike trails, tennis courts, trout streams, canoe trips -- anything you want to do outdoors, you can do in the Berkshires (except surf on the ocean...) Music, art, dance and theater are all close to our house --Tanglewood is 20 minutes away, Jacob's Pillow is 30 minutes, Barrington Stage Company, in Pittsfield is 30 minutes, and Stockbridge, with The Berkshire Theater Festival, is fifteen minutes. All year round there are yoga retreats and spas, including Kripalu and Canyon Ranch within a 20 minute drive. Historical homes, antique stores, and museums are everywhere in this beautiful area. And on rainy days, take the kids bowling and to the movies!
