Interim Healthcare has been serving the Sacramento area since 1966, earning a reputation for providing our clients with outstanding service and quality care. Our brand new hospice agency services all of Sacramento County, as well as select areas within Placer and Yolo County.
Hospice Volunteers visit with patients in their homes, providing companionship, assistance with supportive tasks, spiritual support, and occasional respite to the primary caregiver. (Volunteers do not provide hands on care)
Applicants must submit an application, attend a 12-hour training class, pass a criminal background check, and be free of TB. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one year of service, attend monthly meetings and inservices and assist with occasional community fundraising events. Additionally, we request a minimum of 2 hours of availability per week. Minimum age to apply is 18.
