Sacramento Children’s Museum Needs Volunteers for the California State Fair!

The Sacramento Children’s Museum will be showcasing our first exhibit, Raceways, at the State Fair from August 21st- Monday September 7th. The fair hours are Monday- Thursday from 12:00pm-10:00pm and Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day from 10am-10pm. Each shift requires a 4 -hour commitment and training is available. Each volunteer will receive free parking and free admission to the fair for the day of their shift. Make a day of it and meet your family or friends before or after your shift. Even better, bring them along to help support the Sacramento Children’s Museum. Please include the following information in your email; your name, organization, phone, date of birth, zip code and driver’s license in order to pass the Megans’ Law requirement for the event. The shifts options are M-Thursday 12pm-4pm, 3pm-7pm or 6pm-10pm and Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day from 10am-2pm, 1pm-5pm, 4pm-8pm, 7pm-10pm. We will also have two volunteer trainings for the event on Sunday August 16 from 4-5pm and Tuesday August 18 from 6-7pm at our exhibit at Cal Expo. You will learn more about the museum, how to get the community involved and being apart of a great exhibit that kids will surely enjoy. Attending one of the trainings is recommended not mandatory.
