Did you know that one hour of volunteer time helps The Food Bank provide 105 meals to those in need? Ozarks Food Harvest is the only food bank in southwest Missouri, serving more than 250 nonprofit members across 28 Ozarks counties. The Food Bank reaches more than 20,000 individuals weekly and distributes 12 million pounds of food annually. This would not be possible without generous volunteers like YOU!

**Weekday Opportunities**

Weekday volunteers process thousands of pounds of food donations each week for distribution to The Food Bank’s network of 250 hunger relief partners. These partner food pantries and feeding sites then distribute the food to more than 80,000 individuals seeking food assistance each month.

Sort & Repack projects involve checking expiration dates, package integrity, sorting like items and boxing for distribution. Projects are structured in an assembly line style and volunteers are assigned one or two tasks to focus on. Projects may vary based upon The Food Bank's incoming donations and distribution needs.

Volunteers able to set a recurring weekly or monthly schedule are greatly appreciated!

**Evening & Weekend Opportunities**

During evening and weekend events, volunteers assist with assembly of Weekend Backpacks for at risk elementary students (more than 4,000 distributed monthly) or Commodity Boxes for low income seniors (more than 2,000 distributed monthly). If needed to meet distribution needs, volunteers will assist with Sort & Repack projects.
