The Selective Service System wants to hear from men and women in the community
who might be willing to serve as members of Local draft Boards. Local Board Members
are uncompensated volunteers who play an important community role closely
connected with our Nation's defense. If a military draft becomes necessary,
approximately 2,000 Local and Appeal Boards throughout America would decide which
young men in each community receive deferments, postponements or exemptions from
military service, based on federal guidelines.
3 positions are currently open in Franklin County. The positions are open to volunteers
that live within the following Zip Codes:
43125, 43137, 43207, 43217, 43227, 43232, 43203, 43205, 43206,
43209, 43215, 43222, 43223, 43054, 43081, 43085, 43229, 43213
