AN important element for in a home internet business is that I not be involved in direct sales of a product or business concept. I am a shy person, and I cannot see me calling relatives and friends and asking them to buy something from me. Nor will I contact friends and relatives with emails asking them to buy something. No direct sales was very important to me.
The second thing that I did not want to be involved with was having to stock inventory. And some internet businesses require you to stock inventory. Having inventory scares me. It takes money to buy the inventory, and who knows if that inventory will be recouped through sales. Inventory takes room in the house, and I did not want to have to give a bedroom up to house inventory. Packing and shipping packages is something I did not want to do.
Probably, even more important that no selling or inventory is the difficulty of finding a product that people want. To be truly successful, you will need more than one product or service to sell. Affiliate marketing provides a large number of products and services to sell. True, you will still have to work to get them on your website to buy from you, but once they are there they have a better chance of finding what they want. And part of the reason they may buy is price and bargains; many affiliates offer both of these.
