The Finance Director set financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization’s overall strategy. The Finance Director provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization, while leading all financial administration, business planning, and fiscal accounting budgeting. The Finance Director will report to the Interim Executive Director on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and the securing of new funding. The Finance Director will work closely with a motivated and engaged Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. The Finance Director will lead the Agency’s finance infrastructure while adhering to the purpose and mission of Community Action of Southern Kentucky, Inc. and will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the organization.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, 3 to 5 years’ experience with a non- profit organization, or a combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
