Description

This is a KJV Bible study guide.

1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

[He died once for all of our sins. His sacrifice covers anyone that accepts it].

1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; [See 1 Peter 4:6 above].

1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (eight Adamic souls)

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

I believe the above verses explain that those that lived and died before Jesus Christ walked on this earth were given the same opportunity we have been given, “salvation” through His sacrifice. The above verses refer to when Jesus was in the tomb for 3 days; He was busy. Why would He exclude anyone regardless of when or where they lived and died? He wouldn’t, He is not a respecter of persons.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God is totally fair; John 3:16 declares this; salvation is available to all even if they never heard of Him. The word world does not mean “Earth”, it is talking about the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human family (all of them, past, present, future).

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

I have heard that some denominations of Christians are telling others that those that may have never heard of Jesus Christ don’t have a chance for salvation. According to the above verses we can see that is not true. Everyone that did not make the first judgment will have a chance here at the second judgment at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ. Food for thought: If Jesus Christ is there, salvation is there and still available to those who choose it.

More food for thought: Woe to Pastors that lead the sheep astray. See the following verses:

Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. [It is very easy to understand this verse; look out false teachers! All verses come from the KJV Bible].

Jeremiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. [False teachers drive people away from God. Those false teachers get what they deserve according to their own doings].

Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. [God did not send many of those that call themselves prophets, preachers, teachers, men of God, etc. then or now].

Jeremiah chapter 23 and Ezekiel chapter 13 are so important. Both of these chapters demonstrate God's feelings towards those that mislead others through false teachings; it couldn't be more clear! Again, you do not want to be guilty of leading people astray. To prevent that from happening, study the Bible as completely as possible; connect more of the dots and get a more complete picture. Don’t share an incomplete picture of Christianity with others. To not study makes it real easy to be deceived and to deceive others; don’t get in that boat my friend. Where does judgment begin? See 1 Peter 4:17 for your answer.
