James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

[Powerful verse indeed. He doesn't change His mind about what He has given you. Also, this verse should show us where our blessings come from rather than thinking and saying "I've been lucky". This verse should arouse our consciousness of Him and make us more aware of His ever abiding presence that we might be able to see His hand in our lives and give Him credit for all of the blessings He has bestowed on us].

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

[In other words, don't think you are better than you really are. You are no better than anyone else. God is no respecter of persons, He doesn't show favor to anyone. He judges all using the same standards. He gives you what you can handle; no more, no less].

Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

[Christ has given each of us special abilities and gifts. He gives us those gifts to be used to further His Kingdom. That benefits the Kingdom and us when we utilize those gifts properly (according to His will, not our will)].

God gives us what we have. All abilities, talents, tendencies, inclinations, whatever you want to call them, they all come from God. It is not luck of the draw or randomness that is responsible for our abilities, our gifts, our talents, our achievements, etc. Many take credit for their success in life leaving God out of the picture totally. Many say, “It's my efforts that got me here”, in other words, “I'm great in my own eyes”. What a mistake. Pride was the downfall of Satan. Need I say more? Study the Bible and discover your gifts from God. Discover, then utilize those gifts you've been given to seek and further His Kingdom. Study your Bibles cover to cover. Discover what is actually in the Bible. I use the KJV Bible only.
