There is a right way and a wrong way to do pretty much everything. Look around with your own eyes; look at others; watch the daily news. I bet you have a few scars that remind you of doing things the wrong way. But what is the real danger? What is the right way? What is really important?
The real danger in this life that we live is that we live it “OUTSIDE” of the counsel and confines of the Lord Jesus Christ; we do it our way instead of His way! Again, the danger that we bring ourselves into is when we begin to think that we can make decisions and do things “VOID” of the guidance of God. Why do we do this? Because there is a way that seems right to us, but it leads to death!
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. [Second time for emphasis; also, death is one of Satan’s names].
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. [If the ways of a man lead to death, which is the right way? See the following verses].
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [Jesus Christ and His ways are the right ways; the only ways! Make your choice].
Do it the way of man and you get eternal death. Do it God’s way, you gain eternal life. Plain as day!
Study the Bible and learn the right way; trust Him. Don't rely on your own understanding. Don’t cave in to the doctrines and policies of Satan. See the following verses for the reason why:
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2 John 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Other pertinent verses: Isaiah 5:20; John 3:19-21; James 4:17.
Which type of wisdom do you prefer to use when making choices?
James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[There is earthly wisdom that doesn't come from God. Where does it come from? What does devilish mean? If you think you know it all now, you'll never ask God for true wisdom. A person with this kind of wisdom can lead you astray. This type of wisdom is preferred by many today and sadly they don’t even realize it].
Devilish = proceeding from an evil spirit, demon-like.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[This is heavenly, Godly wisdom which comes from above. Please research the meaning of all the descriptive words using a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance (pure, peaceable, gentle, etc.). Wisdom from above will help you in this life and the afterlife, unlike earthly wisdom. Here are two of the many pertinent verses on this topic: Proverbs 4:7 and 9:10].
Many people, worldwide, are confused about what is right and what is wrong. Far too many just do not know what or whom causes confusion. Satan Is The Author Of Confusion.
1st Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
The world is confused today about almost everything including religion, politics, education, the economy, gender, relationships, moral issues, the Bible, what is right and what is wrong; just watch the news, read a newspaper or magazine; talk to your neighbor or even a stranger, etc.! This is what Satan wants. The Devil's primary goal is to deceive people, to prevent them from coming to the truth of Christ Jesus to be saved. Jesus died to bring us the truth. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). God’s word is truth; see John 17:17.
The truth is always shrouded in lies and deception today. The Bible says God does not cause confusion. Satan causes confusion as a means of blinding people so they won't follow Jesus Christ. 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
Satan blinds people with false teachings, false religion, evolution, humanism, and many other deceptions. The Devil knows that the best way to hinder people from doing right, according to God’s word, is to confuse them. There are thousands of religions in the world. Religion is man doing something for God; but salvation is God doing something for man. Religion is a path to Hell, because it is rooted in one's own self-righteousness (Isaiah 64:6). Very few people are coming to Jesus Christ to be saved these days. Instead they are coming to religion, entertainment, social clubs, and man-made organizations. Salvation is found ONLY in a Person—the Lord Jesus Christ!
