Does Satan know our weaknesses? Every one of them. Does he exploit them? Every chance he gets. Does he try to turn us away from God using those weaknesses? All the time.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
[Stay awake, alert and on guard, armed with the truth from God's word. Put on the whole armor of God. Satan exploits our weaknesses constantly. It doesn't matter what that weakness is. Could be anything; drugs, alcohol, sex, tobacco, vanity, short temper, impatience, etc., he utilizes them all].
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
[Who is the great dragon? The old serpent/devil/Satan. Him and his angels will be here on earth in the near future. You need to be ready and armed because he will try you].
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[Does this verse say put on just some of the armor of God? No. All of it. For what reason? So you can stand against him, the devil. Don't show up to a gunfight with just a knife].
*No need to worry!
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[Jesus gives us power over all the power of our enemies, in His name of course; fear not. Also see Romans 8:31-39].
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
[Everybody suffers temptation. If you are properly armed with God's truths, you can bear it].
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[Remember, He gives us power to tread on him (to resist him)].
