Where there is less God and His influence, iniquity abounds, just as in Noah's day [Genesis 6:5-6, God wasn't pleased]. God's influence, His way, His laws and rules, His love and compassion, are evident when people choose to acknowledge Him and be accountable to him by obeying Him. Your choice, good or evil? Obey Him or obey your sinful nature? I see more and more obeying their sinful nature, choosing to believe they are not accountable to Him. Who is deceived here? Do you see any similarities between Noah's day and now? Just watch the daily news occasionally.

What happens when someone chooses to forsake God? When a person or group of people choose to deny Him and His way, that is when He is absent. When you don't want a certain person around, what do you do to them? You forsake them, turn your back on them, show them disrespect, criticize them, gossip about them, tell lies about them, create distrust of them, forget them and avoid them, among other things. And what do they usually do? Depart! The exact same thing God does in your life when you treat Him the same. No need to act surprised.

Question: Many ask, why is there so much evil [calamity, adversity] in the world? [Read the last nine words in 2 Chronicles 15:2 and these 3 verses, Jeremiah 6:17-19. Go figure.] [Many choose to deny and forsake God, and that choice results in more evil in their lives. Thus, more evil in the world]

Answer: Less of God's influence equals more evil, calamity and adversity. Nothing new under the sun. When people choose to forsake Him, that opens the door for evil to move in. What do you expect? [Jeremiah 17:5, 7].

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

Isaiah 45:7; the word evil is calamity [adversity] in the manuscripts. When a person chooses evil [sin], they bring calamity/adversity on themselves. Be careful what you ask for! You will get it!

adversity, n. An event, or series of events, which oppose success or desire; misfortune; calamity; affliction; distress; state of unhappiness.

Can inanimate objects be evil? The objects themselves are not evil, but, people can use those objects to commit evil deeds. What is present in every evil deed? A human being which feels no accountability to God, whether temporary or permanent! Think about it.

Most know people and their deeds can be evil. Can the evil done by people be collective, agreed on, with consent, the norm, rampant, done in a group, etc.? Again, watch the news.

Disobeying God leads you onto a broad path, along which is found pain, sorrow, suffering, and eternal loss inevitably. Choosing to obey God, opens onto a narrow pathway which leads steadily upward to great reward. I urge you to make the right choice.

Here is a letter that a little girl wrote to God: Dear God, "Why didn't you save those kids at the Columbine school?"

To which God replied: My dear child, "I am not allowed in school."

Certainly makes you think.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them, that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Just look around you today (2022 +), people are doing exactly what this is talking about. They’re all confused about what is right and what is wrong; 180 degrees out. Be careful what you ask for; ,in other words, woe unto you)!
