New York Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center is a comprehensive 24 hour specialty and emergency veterinary hospital. We are looking for friendly, energetic and enthusiastic pet loving Client Service Specialists (receptionists) to assist our clients for the following specialties: surgery, emergency, critical care, rehabilitation & fitness, diagnostic imaging, oncology, internal medicine, and dentistry. Our front office staff plays a vital role in client service and serves as the faces of our hospital.
A high school diploma is required with at least 2 years of veterinary, medical or dental office client service background. One-year experience in the veterinary field is recommended, but not required. We answer a multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, operate basic office machines, payment processing, payment reconciliation, perform a high volume of messaging using Microsoft Outlook, and utilize alphabetic and numeric filing organization. We need individuals that are quick thinkers, strive in a fast paced environment and are able to function efficiently while multitasking.
This is a full time position that includes weekends and/or evenings.
