Construction Coordinator – Cost Control, Contract Administration, Safety, Scheduling - Cleveland, OH - JOB 21-00303

Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.45/HR  Contract to Possible Direct Hire

A small privately owned architectural firm that specializes in healthcare facility design is seeking to hire several people for new healthcare projects. Currently seeking a talented Construction Coordinator with a good attitude and personality to play a major role in getting these projects completed. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for Construction Administration duties such as project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, client interface, and field-based activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or MS Degree in Architecture or Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Candidates should have about 4 - 5 years' minimal experience working as a construction coordinator or very similar role.
  • Must be knowledgeable with standard building codes and construction processes.
  • Work with Project Management in executing contracts and change orders.
  • Must have a solid understanding of project architecture, design and construction support.
  • Helps coordinate work with the Project Manager.
  • Assist with the development of internal and external reports including project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports to all stakeholders.
  • Implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Project Staffing Plan, Organization Chart, and Procurement Plan.
  • Contract administration including Request For Information (RFI's), submittals, change management, and claims mitigation for subcontractors and/or client contractors.
  • Secure applicable project permits.
  • Coordinate potential bidders' supplier/subcontractor registration and pre-qualification efforts on behalf of the Project Management team.
  • Prefer candidates to be very safety conscious. 10 – Hour OSHA Safety Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD 3D.
  • MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook experienced.
  • Prior experience working on healthcare facility projects is highly desired.
  • This firm will also consider candidates that have specialized doing other type of work or a variety of projects in different fields.


Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.

Pay Range:
$23.00 - $26.45/HR  Contract to Possible Direct Hire
