Northstar Access Ltd/Sky-Hi Scaffolding Ltd. is looking for full time rough carpenters at 1390 Homewood Road, Campbell River, BC, V9W 3N7. There are 7 positions available.

 Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Track scaffold material inventory used on site
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Place poly or netting over/around scaffold structures as required
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
• Use and clean tools as required on the worksite
• Supervise apprentices and other construction workers.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. Pay is $27.53/hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience.
