Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus weekend availability

Pay Type: Twice monthly

Pay: Salary plus commission with top performers having potential to earn unlimited income

Position Overview

Are you looking for a full time job that provides meaningful work and competitive compensation? Consider a position in a Farmers Insurance agent's office. Individuals in this position are responsible for understanding Farmers Insurance products and services for the purpose of selling to new acquisition prospects and up selling existing customers via outbound calling in an office environment.



Effectively sell Farmers Insurance products and services to new and existing prospects. Consistently achieve a monthly sales quota by adding new lines of business. Meet established activity targets and key performance indicators, including outbound calls per day, follow up calls, quotes sent, sales, and connects, etc. Handle all prospects with courtesy and professionalism; Establish and maintain a high level of prospect satisfaction in all interactions. Be a go-to product consultant when promoting, recommending and selling the value of Farmers Insurance products and services. Inform prospects of our product and Farmers’ competitive advantage. Effectively balance new lead generation versus follow up efforts. Create a strong follow up plan that will allow for greater efficiency and increased sales conversion rates. Ensure information is accurate and complete. Perform other duties as requested.


Requirements / Qualifications

Work under pressure and under supervision, Be reliable, Have reliable transportation, Be people-oriented, Possess a proven sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) relationship/account management skills. Have Excellent sales communication/organizational skills both written, verbal and listening. Proficient at setting appointments, closing sales and have exceptional cold calling experience. Must be able to effectively communicate on the phone. Have high contact/short selling cycle experience, Be persistent. Set goals and crush them, Be competitive and goal oriented. Utilize a consultative sales approach. Be activity focused, Self-motivated, with a Strong Work Ethic. Have experience in a variety of computer applications, Windows MS Office suite, e-mail and the internet. Ability to work in a team environment, Have high energy and hunger for success. Be good at problem solving/analytical and math skills. Have prior Experience with SalesForce.


Minimum Education

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.

Working Conditions

Office work environment where employee may need to be seated for long periods of time while using a telephone and computer. Exposure to moderate noise levels.
