Starting Wage: $32.09/hour
Schedule: rotating 42 hours per week - 4 days per week Monday to Thursday and Tuesday to Friday, alternating weekly. Will also be required to work a 4 hour day on Saturdays as scheduled.
Shift: 630 am to 5 pm
Sets-up and operates a wide variety of equipment, including D6/7/8 Dozers, Rock Trucks, Excavators and 836 compactors as well as various pieces of light equipment, lawnmowers, tractor backhoes, skid steer etc., as required, and performs work per specifications.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Operates equipment in compliance with the company operating procedure.
Verifies that equipment is in working order, e.g., tooling, safety mechanisms.
Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
Performs daily maintenance and cleaning activities.
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Experience: Four (4) years of previous experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Standard Heavy Equipment School Certificate or equivalent experience.
Valid G or higher drivers' license, with acceptable driving record.
Legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid SIN.
Able to successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check consisting of a medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification and employment confirmation.
