Japanese maples are appropriate for a variety of landscapes since they may be grown as either tiny, single-stemmed trees or enormous, multi-stemmed shrubs, growing anywhere from six to 25 feet tall. The leaves can range in hue from dark green to crimson or reddish-purple and have five to nine deeply cut lobes.
