Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
PAY:
45K-60K based on experience
POSITION TYPE:
Full Time
SCHEDULE:
*Flexible availability is a must, including; overnight, weekends and holidays 
This is a 24/7 operation and the Ramp Manager will be expected to “be there” whenever needed to ensure the successful operation and delivery of services to customer"
*It will require at least and often exceeding 40 hours per week. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent after hours or weekend work
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Must be at least 18 years of age
*Speak and understand English
*Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, 10-year background check (criminal/employment) and be able to obtain airport security clearance
*Must have a VALID Driver's License for at least 1 full year with a clean driving record. (License cannot have any restrictions; such as LOFTS or Probationary status and cannot have any suspensions and/or any moving violation offenses in the last 3 years)
*Must possess at least a High School Diploma / GED equivalent
*Computer skills required
BACKGROUND QUALIFICATIONS:
*Three years’ progressive aviation management experience; including ground handling of commercial aircraft, or wide and narrow-body aircraft required
*Must have airline/aviation management experience
*Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations, including standard security program and FAR 107/108 NFPA and OSHA
*Familiar with GSE maintenance procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Understand contract requirements and customer expectations
*Thorough knowledge base of budgetary responsibilities and financial responsibilities
*Determine and maintain the necessary and appropriate amount of personnel and equipment necessary to fulfill these requirements
*While understanding the work requirements, plan and organize the most efficient use of resources to meet these requirements through development and analysis of employee and equipment work schedules
*Direct and control people and equipment to efficiently complete the tasks within established company standards. This is achieved through disciplined following of work schedules in line with established company standards
*Know company policies and interpret manuals in order to relate the interpretations to subordinates
*Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel
*Conduct employee performance evaluations
*Provide employee counseling and discipline as needed
*Be responsible for the security of company funds, supplies and equipment
*Be responsible for insuring compliance with established company safety policies and procedures
*Maintain working relationship with customers and provide prompt response to service requests
*Actively search for and report to station management future business opportunities
*Performs other related duties as requested
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Position requires frequent lifting, bending, reaching, grabbing, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, standing, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning and repetitive movement for extended periods of time
*Must climb steps & carry up to 70lbs frequently in confined spaces
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
*This job operates primarily on an airfield ramp, which is exposed to outdoor weather conditions and loud noises
TRAVEL:
*Travel is primarily local during business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
