The Marriott International HQ located at 10400 Fernwood Road, Bethesda, MD 20817 is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Digital Product Merchandising & Optimization.
Responsibilities include: The Sr. Manager, Digital Product Merchandising & Optimization will play a key role in defining, executing and optimizing strategic online marketing programs, digital creative and global merchandising strategies. This role will be primarily focused on creating and optimizing go-to-market strategies for our Credit Card business throughout the entire digital customer journey. High growth goals will be achieved through a mix of merchandising, product enhancements, optimization and offer strategies that drive new card acquisitions as well as deepen engagement with card usage. S/he will manage the day-to-day digital business relationship with our Credit Card partnership team, lead cross-functional product teams and partner with key stakeholders (including Partnership Marketing, Loyalty, Orchestration, Product and UX) to elevate Marriott’s digital experiences and achieve growth goals. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience · BA/BS degree · 5+ years campaign and product management, merchandising and/or optimization experience · 5+ years digital/mobile experience, preferably with high volume transactional websites · Strong relationship building and stakeholder account management experience · Proven skill in balancing product capability development with business risk management · Proven skill in leading and working across multiple and distinct functional organizations (e.g. Design, Testing/Research, Product, IT, International, Partnership Marketing) · Proven skill in managing budgets of $100,000+ · Strong ability to speak with digital, mobile, technical and creative teams and translate these areas to business teams, with an understanding of impacts. · Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret and translate data into key learnings · Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, but within a large, business CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Merchandising Roadmap and Optimization · Actively forward-manage the Digital Credit Card priorities and roadmap · Develop ongoing and merchandising strategy, product enhancements and capability analysis · Identify new areas for optimization via targeting, creative and offer testing across the digital customer journey · Lead a cross discipline team to deliver product features (e.g. user experience design, development, quality assurance) · Partner closely across IT Plan and Build on the implementation of product capabilities · Ensure clear communication and coordination across business, design and build teams to manage the scope of each product launch for on time, on budget delivery of features · Gather and analyze product metrics to monitor results · Foster continuous improvement Development and Delivery of World-Class Product capabilities · Partner closely with Sr. Director of Product and key Loyalty stakeholders to understand changing business needs and priorities · Build deep understanding of our customer profiles and needs · Monitor the competitive market place in order to identify optimization opportunities · Keep current on emerging technologies and business strategies that can enhance the guest experience across Marriott’s digital products · Collaborate with other Digital Business Units and Platform Teams to leverage integrated and cross- product capabilities · Identify optimization opportunities to drive continuous product evolution MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES Leadership · Adaptability - Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace · Communication - Conveys information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods · Problem Solving and Decision Making - Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities;
