Paramedics & EMT's
Mercy Ambulance is looking for medical professionals to provide "committed" medical care and transportation for a patient at the Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), along with the specified contractual obligations agreed upon by the company.
Physical Effort: Physical demands including lifting, climbing, pushing, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching, and otherwise maneuvering heavy patients, with stretchers and equipment (at least 250 pounds).
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalency
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Consent to criminal background check
- Be able to pass the pre-employment testing including a complete physical and lifting agility examination along with a successful interview.
- Provide current immunization record.
- Paramedic certification required from the State of Michigan
- ACLS certified within 90 days of hire.
- PALS and TNCC preferred.
Required Licenses & Certifications: Paramedic license, CPR card, ACLS certification, valid Michigan Driver's license; any other certifications as required by Medical Control and State of Michigan
Mercy Ambulance offers career possibilities as a medical first responder, basic EMT and paramedic. In addition, we staff an ambulance dispatch center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our dispatchers are certified and trained in taking emergency medical calls and dispatching ambulances.
