This is a 1976 TB1000 Artist model Travis Bean guitar with the signature billet aluminum neck and a lovely Koa wood body.
This is serial number 331 which makes it a fairly early instrument. The serial number is stamped on the back of the neck at the base which is a little unusual but I have seen photos of other Beans with the number in the same place. The guitar has a two piece Koa wood body, machined aluminum neck and dual humbucker pickups. Fingerboard is rosewood with nice large pearl inlays. The frets look mint with no visible wear. All parts are original to the guitar as best as I know with the exception of the nut, which was replaced with a new piece cut from NOS Travis Bean nut stock. The overall condition is near mint, with very light play wear. There is one small defect in the front side of the body that looks like a small natural void in the wood that was just left and not filled. It can be seen circled in one of the photos. No other damage of any kind I can see. Knobs, switch, pickups, tuners, bridge are all correct and original. The pots all turn smooth and have the date code 1377619.
As far as I can tell, the finish is original and in excellent shape.
