Okoume tonewood:
This is the commercial name for timber that comes from the tree Aucoumea klaineana, an African hardwood. It has been widely used throughout Europe over the past century. Unfinished, it is typically quite lustrous with a slight variable interlocking grain; it may be used in a wide range of applications, including the construction of musical instruments. Super lightweight, very dynamic tone. A tiny bit on the bright side, but in a good way. And you can just FEEL that bass. This uke HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED !!
