I bought this new from Sweetwater and I have been very happy with it. But I need to clear some space (and clear some debt on another guitar) and it's just not getting played very much.
The good: 6.4lbs. Very easy on the shoulders and back and it rings like a bell. Great neck and excellent action as it is. Everything is stock and everything is 100%. The pickups in this really surprised me. Not harsh and brittle, but it cuts extremely well in a mix. I play in our worship band at church and it stands out.
The bad: When I got it and went to restring it and set it up, I noticed something under the lights over my work area. It's a very small worm-like looking defect in the finish on the top, about an inch and a half directly above the strap button. Looks to me like it got bumped before the finish could set up. From 3 feet you'd never see it unless you looked very closely and the light was just right. See the pics for the detail on this. I had to shine a flashlight on it and shoot the pic from about 8 inches. I have exaggerated the lighting in order to show you how it looks, but as you can see it's not noticeable. Sweetwater gave me $150 credit for it and I really really liked it for the weight and the tone so I kept it. If you're looking for a closet queen, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a really solid playing, sounding and looking Tele made in Japan, then you're at the right spot.
Ships to you in a new/unused Roadrunner Highway case.
Happy to answer any questions you may have. This is a great guitar...better than the last USA made Tele I had in 2020 (American Performer), and just an all around killer guitar.
