The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City has openings for full-time Police Dispatcher.
The University of Oklahoma HSC Police Department Dispatchers are the safety line for the department’s officers. Dispatcher take calls from campus locations and 911 calls forwarded from surrounding agencies. Dispatchers must be able to multi-task by obtaining emergency information and correctly informing officers of the location and nature of the calls-for-service; asking callers important information for the safety of the officers; monitor numerous alarm systems, other agency radio frequencies; be able to operate computers and associated systems to include OLETS; monitor video systems and other similar duties, in a high stress environment.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Previous experience is a plus, but not required.
Certifications/ Licenses: Must obtain Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunications Systems Terminal Operator Certification within 6 months of hire date
Salary: $15.43 per hour, $32,087 annually + excellent benefits
