Description

The primary responsibility is to develop, implement and supervision of all in-game scheduled and nonscheduled activities for all home games, including planning, design, and execution of plans to enhance game-day environment/entertainment for Cowgirl Basketball and Baseball. Oversees the schedules and executes event planning meetings. Manage student interns including assisting in the hiring process, scheduling and time-sheet approval. Assist with implementation of training all staff. Responsibilities include but not limited to overseeing the Athletics Kid’s Club, Pistol Pete’s Partners, assisting Marketing and Event Management in the planning and creating of the in-game script, schedules, special events, on-field contests, entertainment attractions, music, video and public address. Our in-game presentation is created to enhance the fan experience, increase fan retention, overall fan participation as well as attendance, increase corporate sponsorship sales as well as develop and maintain the teams' positive community reputation for family entertainment as the foremost collegiate experience. Assist with communication of event logistics with various departments; Learfield (CSP Staff), game management, game day event staff (Express Employment Professionals), Development, Marketing, Ticket Sales and Operations and the management of student workers in the office and on game days. Other events and duties may be assigned, not limited to but including high school state championships, post season tournaments, NCAA Championships, NCAA Bowls and any OSU Athletics associated event. This department reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director / Communications. Work schedule may extend beyond regular office hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, as necessary to perform job duties and complete work assignments. Travel is required in performance of this position. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field. 6 months related experience in NCAA Division I athletics marketing/promotions. Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, computer skills and knowledge of multiple programs and applications. Ability to manage multiple work priorities simultaneously.  Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, a or related field.
