Description

Ahern Rentals is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator for our Xtreme department in the Las Vegas office to answer incoming calls, greet suppliers and guests, assist and maintain daily purchasing responsibilities. Perform inventory control duties.  Must be dependable, friendly, and able to multitask.  Flexibility to work in a constantly growing and changing industry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage inventory control and related activities such as inventory audits to maintain inventory integrity
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Help implement improvement processes to prevent shrink
  • Work closely with the Inventory team, cross train and back up as necessary
  • Review inventories and submit items for review on their balances
  • Maintain Item Bin locations
  • Provide Management with information on inventory performance
  • Achieve minimum 99% inventory accuracy

 

  • Work with Xtreme buyers to ensure Purchase orders have correct pricing, availability & update as necessary
  • Help receive, respond and resolve inquiries regarding Xtreme products
  • Escalate unresolved issues using the appropriate protocol to facilitate a resolution
  • Help to maintain Sales, Manufacturing and Purchase orders in M3
  • Provide assistance/research to ensure correct parts are ordered
  • Confirm accuracy and timeliness of orders
  • Help maintain accurate invoicing records in On Base
  • Improve purchasing processes and procedures
  • Run and maintain reports, spreadsheets as requested for the department
  • Serve as backup for non-routine administrative duties for the department
  • Other duties, as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

 

  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative, procurement / negotiations, or finance/accounting position
  • Knowledge of purchasing techniques
  • Knowledge of inventory management policies and procedures
  • Possess relevant IT skills for Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
  • Experience with Rental Man (AS400) a plus
  • Strong professional phone skills
  • 2 or more years inventory control experience
  • Experience with Purchase Orders and Invoices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills preferred
  • Must be a team player with strong time management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented, prioritize & perform a variety of tasks with varying levels of responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check
  • Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
