The Employment Services Area Manager (A.M.) is responsible for all Employment Services operations within a specific geographic area. In this position the A.M. will oversee the Employment Specialists and Job Coaches assigned to customers whom live in the A.M.’s assigned territory. The A.M. is responsible to ensure that each ES has a plan and that it is carried out for each assigned customer in efforts to find employment that fits their job goal and interests and is in a reasonable distance from their home. The customer’s plan is to include actions to aid in the retention of the position for a designated period of time. The A.M. is to ensure its assigned ES follow company instruction and provide a level of service to its customers that meet and exceeds the standards of excellence. The A.M. will provide supervision, guidance and instruction to aid in the improvement of each assigned ES and JC in efforts to meet company standards of quality and performance. A.M. will utilize company systems to generate reports and to utilize the data to determine where there are areas of need. The A.M. will not only manage staff but will also perform activities in efforts to help the customers in the area become and maintain employment. Essential Functions. Train, direct and lead the staff assigned to customers in the A.M. assigned territory. Lead business development in the assigned area. Participate in the recruiting, hiring and training of new team members as needed. Participate in necessary trainings and review all employU, Inc. training materials in order to learn the policies procedures and proper methods related to job placement and marketing activities. Maintain regular communication with the VR counselors. Maintain $50,000 property liability coverage and $100,000 Limited Liability coverage for personal injury so that they are covered when transporting customers Competencies Critical and Strategic Thinking Problem Solving Interpersonal Skills Consultation Skills Presentation Skills Sales Skills Technical Capacity Supervisory Responsibility This position is responsible to ensure that all directives in regards to short and long term goals are completed within established timelines. In addition, A.M. shall assure that performance and management objectives within all departments are met within established timelines. This position serves under the direction of the Employment Services Program Director and has authority to recruit hire, train and supervise team members. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and in the field at various business locations. The role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, email and a variety of computer programs. Physical Demands The employee frequently is required to drive for long periods of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, lift up to 40 lbs participate in job coaching as needed and travel. Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position may require some evening and weekend hours depending on demand. Travel This position requires regular intrastate travel Required Education and Experience Current Florida driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations and proof of vehicle insurance with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage for all employees transporting VR clients.

OPTION A: EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE A copy of a Master’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of one year of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; OR, A copy of an Associates in Arts Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of two years of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; OR, Written documentation (resume) of four years of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program. In addition, for Supported Employment, a copy of a training certificate from a state or nationally recognized supported employment program. OR OPTION B: ACCREDITATIONS Proof of current accreditation from The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the area of employment services or supported employment services; OR, Proof of current accreditation from The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) in the area of Behavioral Health; For Supported Employment only, a copy of the Florida Department of Children and Families or Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Home and Community-Based Waiver Services Provider Certificate with an approved designation of Supported Employment. Work Authorization/ Security Clearance This position requires a level 2 background check.
