Older Blue Merle Australian Shepherd needs older loving companion person. Sorry she is past her working days but can be your best friend! She was born November 24, 2006 and is pedigreed and registered with the Continental Kennel Club. Moves a little slower these days but can sure show excitment and enthusisum when her person wants to play and show her love. She does a few tricks for treats and sometimes just to please her person. She only has one bad habit that we have not been able to break her of. Her sense of protecting her person causes her to bark continuously when someone comes to the door. She will bark until the individual has been identified and she is assured there is no danger.
Her health is good for an older dog. She needs more excerise instead of laying around gaining weight and getting stiff. Blood tests show that her platletts are low but the decision to put her on steroids was declined.
Our Miss Cara is so special but we are no longer able to keep her. After all these years it will be very difficult to say goodbye but we want her to have the best possible retirement possible. Only older single or couples will be considered. Cara has not been around cats so I don't think she would do well in a home with cats. She is tolerate of other dogs but prefers humans.
