I just recently lost my 15 1/2 year old dog that I had since age four months to old age and kidney disease. I still have a 10 year old part Bischon part Poodle, but I would like to have a small (around 10-15 lb when full grown) dog of most any breed or combo of breeds to be my cuddle-bug when I have back surgery next month. All my pets have been my life long partners, all have been spayed or neutered, chipped, and up to date on their shots. I prefer a younger dog at this point just because I can't go through the heartache of losing my "Bishoodle" in a few years just after my older dog, and then having another senior dog too. I own my own home with a small yard and I have a roommate who also loves dogs and who can walk them while I'm still down after surgery. I'd like a short hair who can snuggle up to me for warmth because my other dog has plenty of her own fur to keep warm. I'm willing to lovingly adopt a dog that someone just can't keep any more for some reason, and it will become a lifetime pet.
