Looking for creative line cooks with a passion for the hospitality industry to join our growing team in Newport Beach, California. We are currently looking to fill AM line cook, PM line cook,pantry cook and prep cook positions.
Duties & resposibilities :
-Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
-Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
-Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
-Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
-Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
-Follow restaurant guidelines for daily operations.
-Practice daily sanitation & safety guidelines for restaurant.
-Make sure to have a "CAN DO" mentality when working.
Qualifications & Skills :
-2-3 years cooking experience in casual fine dining establishments. Culinary students are welcomed with the desire to learn.
-Culinary education is a plus but not required.
-Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day.
-High level of professionalism.
-Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
-Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
-Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
-Assist executive chef & sous chef in creating innovative daily specials.
-Must be a team player.
-Serv Safe Food Handlers License.

Salary: $11.00 to $14.00 /hour
