Mechanical Designer/Drafter - Salem, OH - Job 23-00731

Salary Range: $18.00 - $35.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits

An original equipment manufacturer located in the Alliance area is seeking to add a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to their team. The primary mission of this role will be the generation of new layouts, assemblies, and details using AutoCAD. This position requires 2D CAD capabilities and lends itself best to candidates with 3-5 years of experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree or technical school certificate
• Experience with heavy equipment mechanical component design. (wheel axles, shafts, fabricated stress relieved)
• Experience with machined components (wire rope drums and rolls, gears, keys, etc.)
• Must have a good understanding on shafting fits and tolerances and finishes.
• 3 years of experience with mechanical drafting using AutoCAD
• An eye for detail and the ability to read/interpret complex drawings
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
