Structural Engineer (Senior) - Exterior Panels & Cladding Systems, Steel Stud & Structural - Akron, OH - JOB 22-00320

Salary Range: $75K - $100K Permanent Position with Benefits.

An engineering consulting firm specializing in the building envelope and curtainwall industry is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer I to support the growth of the firm. Primary responsibilities will be Steel Stud & Structural Calculations for exterior panel & cladding systems on buildings.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• An active Ohio Professional Engineering license is required.
• Prefer candidates that are registered PE's in multiple states.
• 10 - 15 years' experience as a structural engineer for facilities.
• Steel Stud & Structural Calculations for exterior panel & cladding systems on buildings.
• Candidates must have experience in the construction industry, having provided structural calculations on commercial buildings and/or other commercial type structures (bridges, towers, etc.)
• An understanding of current emerging technologies within the building exterior/construction field and the ability to relate the engineering performance aspects as well are critical.
• Have a complete grasp of building codes, standards, and current practices.
• MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook experienced
• Any experience in the curtainwall industry is plus; aluminum, metal panels, stone veneer, UHPC, terracotta, rail, canopy, sunshades, and other forms of exterior cladding and architectural components.
• Working knowledge of any of the following software is a plus; AutoCAD 3D, STAAD, Inventor, Revit, Grasshopper, Rhinoceros, MathCAD, RISA 3D, Cbeam.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
