We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer for our manufacturing client, located near Springfield, VT. Recent graduates with internship experience or more senior level candidates will be considered.
Responsible for defining requirements, designing, developing, testing and documentation of new software and firmware for the Company’s product line. Generate test protocols, test production job related systems, and new product prototypes. Review controller product manual sections for new, custom, and non-standard controller and generate content as required. Some travel to customer sites to gather requirements or resolve problems.
Must be proficient in C or C++. Experience with source control, product build environment, and analysis. Knowledge of design modeling, documentation and communication is a plus. Understanding of electrical circuitry, components and logic functions. Must be able to work as part of a small team or as an individual contributor with solid communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Familiarity with real-time design, compilers, liners, Microsoft Visual programming language, Assembly (ARM processors), scripting; current software development technologies; software documentation and test descriptions; electronic test and calibration equipment.
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required. Master’s degree is a plus. ISO Quality Training, SDS and Hazard Communication, Soldering techniques.
