Estimator (Construction) - Establishing Material Quantities - Wadsworth, OH - JOB 23-00224
Salary (Exempt) Range: $50K - $100K Permanent Position with Benefits.
A local design/build construction company is seeking to hire a Construction Estimator to prepare estimates which includes establishing material quantities, cost of materials, man-hours needed to complete the job, amount, type, and hours of tools and equipment, subcontractor's costs, permits/fees and insurance, etc. The Estimator purchases all material, supplies, services and subcontractors on obtained jobs that they estimated.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's Degree related to the construction industry is preferred. Time spent earning the degree, up to 4 years, can be applied to the ten years of experience.
- A minimum of ten years' experience in the construction industry, which should include a minimum of 4 years in an Estimating or Project Management related position.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry which should include a minimum of 4 years in an Estimating or Project Management related position related to the construction industry is preferred. Time spent earning the degree, up to 4 years, can be applied to the ten years of experience.
- Advanced knowledge and use of computer spreadsheets, word processing and estimating software, preferably Microsoft Excel.
- Ideal candidate will have 5 years of progressive construction estimating experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Estimator will requisition all shop drawings/submittals through the purchase ordering process.
- The Estimator will be the administrative contact with project Owners and representatives.
- Monitor contractual issues, the bulletin/change order process, billings, and payments due from owner to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
- Prepare estimates which includes establishing material quantities, cost of materials, man-hours needed to complete the job, amount, type, and hours of tools and equipment, subcontractor's costs, permits/fees and insurance, etc. The Estimator purchases all material, supplies, services and subcontractors on obtained jobs that they estimated.
