It's only Wednesday but the football just keeps on coming in both the Champions League and Premier League.
European football returned in earnest last night with German giants Bayern Munich squeezing past French champions Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes. Elsewhere, Tottenham were condemned to their second consecutive reverse at the hands of reigning Serie A champions AC Milan.
Whilst the Champions League is expected to produce more thrills and spills tonight - Chelsea's clash with Dortmund the standout fixture - attention is highly likely to turn to the Premier League. Premier League leaders Arsenal welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium in a game that could go a long way in deciding the destination of the title come the end of the season.
Away from on the pitch action, there are also expected to be big updates in the takeover races for Manchester United and Liverpool - both clubs still up for sale. A Qatari bid is in the pipeline for the Red Devils and there remains just a few days for any more interested parties to come forwards.
There is also news of a bid for Tottenham Hotspur from Jahm Najafi.
