It is a method for the production of castings from nonferrous metal alloys and steels of some grades in press molds, which at high speed and under high pressure is then filled with melt; as a result, the melt acquires the shape of the casting. To produce parts for aluminum engine blocks, sanitary-engineering equipment, and carburetors this method is used. In casting machines with cold or hot molding, chamber casting is performed. The zinc alloys die-casting molds are made from steel and are usually called pressure dies. To the outer surface of the casting, the shaping cavity of the mold corresponds, taking into account factors that affect dimensional precision. Besides, the pressure die contains knockouts and movable metal cores (which form the interior cavities of the castings).
