I. Job Summary Under direct supervision, assists Mechanic with basic repair and maintenance duties.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
• Assists mechanics with repairs.
• Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
• Performs oil changes and lubes trucks.
• Performs PM services on trucks.
• Performs tire changes.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.
IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education, Training and Experience Required: High school diploma or G.E.D, 3rd of 4th Year Truck & Coach (310T) Apprentice, and zero to four years previous experience

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) most of the work day;

Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
Normal setting for this job is: maintenance/repair shop.
