I have been a high school science teacher for nearly 20 years. In that time I have mainly taught Biology and Chemistry. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Statistics. I also have a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instructional Design.  I have taught all levels of high school Biology and Chemistry including honors, IB and AP classes. 

 I have a very friendly approach to teaching. I want my students to learn, and succeed.  I work to help students become better critical thinkers and problem solvers. I like to use visuals, analogies, and a variety of media sources to help my students learn the content they need to be successful.  I have tutored many students in the past, and I am eager to meet new students who can benefit from my expertise and knowledge. 

I am available for remote tutoring, so I can tutor any student from anywhere. 

What you will get when you hire me:

1. A Zoom or Google Meet video link will be personally emailed to you for our sessions.

2. A 1 hour, one-on-one session that is specifically tailored to your learning needs. (Group lessons can be given if needed, see details below.)

3. Help with the areas you are struggling most on. I can help you work through problems, complete homework assignments, and give you other practical examples that will help you to understand the material better. 

4. Easy payment methods such as Paypal or Venmo for quick and easy convenience. 

5. Links to other learning materials that can help you outside of our sessions. 

6. Friendly and Professional help. 

My rate is $80/hr. Additional students can be included for $10 extra for each additional student. Please no groups larger than 3-4 students though. I want the tutoring sessions to be as individualized as possible, and large groups make this extremely difficult to do. I am located in the Mountain time Zone, but I am completely willing to tutor students from anywhere in the country. I am typically available to tutor weekdays in the afternoon starting at 3:00 p.m. Mountain time.
