Every Special Child is currently seeking a passionate Special Education Aide/Behavior Therapist to join our dedicated team, providing top-notch services to the community and ensuring quality education for children with special needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in supervising students during various activities, including classroom sessions, physical exercises, field trips, art projects, and special events.
• Provide instruction to special education students in reading, language arts, mathematics, and other subjects, either individually or in small groups.
• Prepare students for lunch or snack periods, including setting up, cleaning up, and assisting those with eating challenges; instruct students in appropriate table manners.
• Support the teacher in setting up work areas, preparing instructional materials, operating audio-visual equipment, and participating in special programs and activities.
• Contribute to maintaining the health and safety of special education students by being attentive to the environment and potential hazards; follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Assist students with personal hygiene, when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the teacher or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Associate of Arts degree or higher.
