Job Title: Fish Plant Worker

Company Profile:
We are a professional supplier for Japanese restaurants and supermarkets, importer, exporter, and wholesaler for seafood located in Richmond BC. Right now, we are looking for 3 Fish Plant Workers to fill our labor demand.
Job Duties:
- Unload seafood from transportation tools and carry them to the plant
- Working on the raw, unfrozen products including cutting, cleaning, and removing parts
- Check products and ensure conformance to company standards
- Record production information such as quantity, weight, grade, date, and type of product
- Make sure live seafood is stored in the correct area with the proper temperature
- Carefully hand-cut, clean, trim fish and other seafood with a knife regarding customer’s order requirement
- Review orders and ensure they are sorted and filled correctly
- Follow all company and regulatory guidelines including safety, food-safe
- Breaking down boxes for recycling and cleaning working areas
- Transport supplies and packaging materials to the customers including superstores, restaurants, grocery stores, etc
Qualification Requirements:
- No minimum requirement for education, but high school graduation is preferable.
- Ability to recognize many kinds of seafood and have some relevant knowledge about seafood. Training can be provided.
- Fish cutting and fish handling and aquaculture experience is an asset.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to do repetitive work in a cold, wet environment, indoors/outdoors.
- Ability to communicate in basic English.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety, sanitation, and professionalism.
