Material Handler

Pay: $15-17/hr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM (Some OT on occasion)

Job Description:

As a Material handler, you'll receive pick tickets from the warehouse coordinator and carefully review order details such as order number, size, color, and quantity of merchandise. Your responsibilities include retrieving merchandise from bins or shelves and accurately picking customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct items and quantities are loaded and dispatched. Using material handling equipment, you'll transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms, organizing them in the sequence of delivery. It's crucial to maintain material handling equipment by promptly reporting any damage or malfunctions. Additionally, you may assist in inventory management tasks, such as placing incoming items in inventory and conducting physical inventories as needed. Upholding departmental safety and security standards is paramount, and you'll also be expected to perform any other duties assigned to support operational efficiency.

Requirements:

2 years of warehouse and material handling experience. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Highly organized and detail orientated. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed. Must have a valid driver's license. Safety sensitive must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen. Must be able to lift at least 40lbs. Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned. Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary. Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
