Hello, I'm Ron. Thank you for considering me to tutor math!

Why hire me, over the many other available math tutors? I believe I am uniquely qualified in having a broad and deep knowledge of and intuition for mathematics (with an M.A. from a top school), a background in education (another post-graduate degree, and experience teaching at high school, Community College, and University Undergraduates), and communication / social / mentoring skills from having worked as a software engineer in a corporate I.T. team setting for over 20 years.

I take an individualized approach to tutoring, rather than teaching with a canned, one-size-fits-all manner. My guiding principle is to instill confidence in doing mathematics. I promote conceptual understanding and problem-solving strategies, rather than memorization tricks and the like.

Asking price is for online lessons. In-person lessons are slightly higher - available in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA.
