Job Description
Your Impact:
looking for an experienced, meticulous accountant who is well-versed in the rules and compliance around the Goods and Services Tax (GST). In addition to maintaining correct financial records and timely and compliant GST filings, you will be in charge of overseeing a variety of accounting tasks. The ideal applicant will be well-versed in current GST legislation and processes, have a strong accounting background, and be proficient with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger should all be kept current and correct.
Create and handle receipts, payments, and invoices.
Contribute to the weekly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation process.
Make ensuring that GST liabilities are calculated and paid on time and accurately.
Create and submit GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) in accordance with Chennai and Indian GST laws and deadlines.
Complete the GST reconciliation process, which includes comparing GSTR-2A/2B with purchase invoices and settling any inconsistencies.
What you Need:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Thorough knowledge of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act, rules, and regulations applicable in India, with specific attention to Tamil Nadu state GST.
Experience in preparing and filing GST returns accurately and within deadlines.
Familiarity with GST reconciliation processes, including reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with purchase records.
Educational Qualification: Any Degree related to Accounting and Finance
