‘This Christmas Season in the year of Our Lord 2025’
God can control all of us as He has the Power to do so! However, He gave us all ‘Free Will’ to decide our own future in this life we have been born into!
Our choices in the paths we choose to travel decide where those paths take us and whether our lives end at our physical death or if we are granted the promise of Eternal Life. If we believith in Jesus Christ, have faith in Him, His promise of Eternal Life and His teachings of the New Testament. His Two most important Commandments, loving one another, as we love ourselves and loving God above all things in this life that surround us!
Yes, biblical accounts and Christian tradition describe Jesus Christ enduring severe physical torture (flogging, crown of thorns, crucifixion) and spiritual agony, facing false accusations and public shaming. He chose to suffer and die for humanity's sins, culminating in the profound suffering of bearing the world's sin and God's wrath, all under Roman authority and Jewish pressure, which believers see as a purposeful act of love and redemption.
Yes, the central Christian belief, affirmed in scripture like 1 Corinthians 15:4 and the Apostles' Creed, is that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies and demonstrating his divinity and power over death. This event, commemorated at Easter, is understood as Jesus being crucified on Friday (Day 1), buried Saturday (Day 2), and rising on Sunday (Day 3) using inclusive reckoning of days.
- Significance:
The resurrection confirms Jesus's teachings, proves his deity, shows atonement for sins is complete, and promises future resurrection for believers.
- Theological Meaning:
It's seen as God's ultimate act of power, conquering death and offering new life and hope!
This Christmas Season in the year of Our Lord 2025, let us be thankful that God sent Jesus into this world, begotten, not made, to be born from the womb of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, so that the Sins of Man could be forgiven, and mankind could be granted Eternal Life!
