Job Description

To oversee our crucial injection moulding operations in Chennai, we are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and results-oriented Head of Department (HOD) for Moulding. The Head of Department will be in charge of the strategic planning, effective implementation, and ongoing enhancement of all moulding operations, guaranteeing the creation of superior plastic components that satisfy exacting standards and production goals. A strong emphasis on safety, quality, and cost optimisation, as well as thorough technical knowledge of injection moulding procedures and outstanding team management abilities, are required for this leadership position.

Responsibilities

Oversee, control, and maximise the complete moulding department, including the injection moulding machines, auxiliary tools, and mould control.

Diagnose complicated moulding flaws and put preventative and remedial measures in place that work.

Make sure that injection moulds are handled, stored, and cared for properly to prolong their life. Oversee the setup, switchover, and maintenance of injection moulds.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and put strong fixes in place for quality non-conformances.

Maximise the use of raw materials and reduce waste.

Skills:

Outstanding decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, particularly when it comes to intricate technical matters.

competence in deciphering quality standards, specifications, and technical drawings.

Knowledge of Quality Control Systems

Educational Qualification: Any BE / CIPET Degree

Experience: 8+ yrs
