Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Chennai. You will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, contributing to the design and development of our industry and ensuring designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks based on specifications, sketches, and design briefs.

Generate accurate and comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and annotations according to industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).

Collaborate closely with product development teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and specifications.

Perform design calculations, simulations (e.g., FEA - Finite Element Analysis - if applicable), and analyses to ensure structural integrity and functionality.

Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other related design documentation.

Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and feedback.

Skills:

Expert proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assembly creation, and 2D drawing generation.

Solid understanding of engineering design principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.

Educational Qualification: Diploma/BE in Mech

Experience: 3+ yrs
