Job Description

Primary Task: In order to ensure appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings for high-quality and effective machining operations within our Chennai facility, we must precisely and quickly set up Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) in accordance with engineering drawings and requirements.

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to understand machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances specific to VMC operations.

Select, assemble, and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and work-holding devices on the VMC.

Pre-set tools using tool presetters to minimize setup time on the VMC.

Perform dry runs and trial cuts on the VMC to ensure proper machine operation and part accuracy.

Perform basic daily and weekly maintenance tasks on the VMC, such as cleaning and lubricating machine components

Required Abilities:

Experience with different types of VMC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens).

Strong understanding of machining principles and setup procedures specific to vertical machining.

Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately for VMC machined components.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality in VMC setups.

Experience: 1 to 4 yrs

Qualification: Any ITI/ Diploma Degree

Salary: Based on Previous work Experience
